Do Pucks Break Glass?

April 1: GM Arsenault
With the first over all pick, the Montreal Canadiens draft from the Seattle Metropolitans, goaltender Cam Glass.

Alot of people were turning heads the day GM Arsenault traded away possible future goaltender Keanu Demro to the Edmonton Oilers along with Anthony Marchant and Uld Sandstrom for 3 1st round draft picks. What wasn't known at the time was one of those draft picks would be the lottery winner giving the habs an opportunity to solidify their future:
GM Arsenault:
It's a calculated risk. We tried to make offers for the other top picks, but we couldn't come close enough. We realize if you want quality, you have to give up quality. Marchant had a great season last and his value was higher than ever. We went all in during the playoffs and lost alot of assets, and now we had to try and start getting some of them back, and we felt Anthony would be the best chance to do that without hurting alot of our core. Cam Glass was arguably the best goalie last season in the LNHJ. We still have come work to do but its possible Glass will be part of our pro system this year for many years to come.

With Demro now gone, it leaves a hole in goaltending as Mike Muzechka and Martin D'Orsonnens will be testing their abilities on the free agent market so there is no garantee they will be coming back.

Glass led the LNHJ last season with a 4.06 GAA, and was second in save percentage with an .885. He also ended with 20 wins, in only 37 games played.
