Canadiens Rip Rebels - Go 2-0

Messagepar Montreal GM » 08 Mai 2017, 12:26

With 2 games into the books, the Montreal Canadiens are sitting at the top of their division with a record of 2 and 0, and big part to the re-acquisition of John Bradley. With 4 points (1G 3A) he has continued where he left off before leaving this squad, and helping teammate Martin Hohener pick up his game from last year as well.
Captain - Jonathan Falloon
Its early in the season and it's only 2 games in but we feel we have a tight locker-room. Everone is working like a well oiled machine, hitting hard, and making good plays. Everyone is working hard during games and twice as hard at practices. Our roster looks a little different but we want to make sure we get alot of the same results we did last year, and we have a good start to that.

Matthew Colliva has played some sound defense, and already has a game winning goal this year, scoring in overtime against the Vermont Wildwings, to help the Canadiens with their first victory, while blue chip goalie Cam Glass has stopped 60 of 65 shots, and picking up both wins for the Canadiens, but will be sitting the next game while backup Ruslan Shafikov will suit up against the Senators next game.
Coach Martin:
Cammy has been great for us, but we have to remember he is only 18 and it will be a process to ensure he develops to the caliber we know he can grow to. We feel the first 2 starts for him was alot to take in so we will be starting Russy next game. He has been solid for us over the past few years and we have no problem with him playing these games.

Game will be in Montreal tonight at the Norbourg Centre which will be Montreal's 3rd straight game at home before going on a 4 game road trip seeing familiar teams like the Rebels and Senators again
