Sith Affairs

The Vancouver Sith have gone through a changing of the guard. After enduring the worst season record since GM Edwards took the throne in Vancouver it was clear that the great players that were the identity of this organization were no longer part of the direction this organization was going. Ethier, Olson, Hubbard, Karlander all found new clubs after free agency. Walters and Snesrud were traded before the free agency period for Veteran Eric Johnson, Andrew Stoll and the return of Dave Shellington.

Younger players will now be getting a chance to make a difference for this team. The likes of Neilsen, Chew, Pilut, McCaskill, Snetsinger and Steblecki will be called upon to contribute. Jess Chew will have the biggest challenge as he is predicted to play the right side on the top line with Johnson and Falloon. But it is known the GM Edwards would like to acquire a top RW.

The YR24 draft class were all forwards. Pick #18 was RW Konstantin Strakhov a good balanced hockey player definitely a blue chip. #35 LW Vladislav Lapin big club potential , #40 LW Eldon Obin also has management hopeful he can make the big club one day, #59 C Viktor Sheinrok long shot to make the Sith ever as is #74 pick LW Lauri Markensson.

The Sith are riddled with questions heading into season 25, will Albelin score 40 goals again, will Falloon rebound from a lackluster season, will Johnson go out with a bang or just fade away, will the defense find ways to contribute offensively in the absence of Olson, and will Neil Ramsay ever find his game again?
