UFA Hell and Knucklers next year

The Seattle SCOOP, 'Your news source on the Seattle Knucklers'

A new season is on the way, the Knucklers have been busy during UFA signings.
The biggest question was, would RW Bill Maguire return for another season,
followed by how much it would cost. Just as figured, Bill would sign another
huge contract for a year at $10,00100.

GM Lada, "He's worth every penny. We've got a good core of growing guys here, and
these guys weren't happy with the semi final knock out last season. When a player
fits as well as he does, you don't look the other way."

The Knucklers signed both goaltenders, at a cost of $3 million. Rumour had it that
G Wes Mason may be moving, but with the contract signing, the Knucklers are possibly
looking to move him during the season.

Youngster, LW Lenni Huokonen has been working hard in the off season, and scouts
say he's got what it takes to be a 20+ goal scorer this season.

The Knucklers were happy during the Draft this season. #1 pick RW Ken Quijada has the
hands and scoring touch, while C Elmer Ovesen could become a great two way player.
Word has it, G Brent Sharpton could be a top goaltender in the leagues future.
At 17 yrs, Brent is already seeing more ice time in the juniors.

We have had reports that C Anisim Tkachenko could become the teams #4 centerman this
season. With Milan Kostolny retiring, Tkachenko would be the next in line.
His gritty play making style should fit in just fine. Also RW Mario Brisebois
is said to have hit his stride and could find himself on 3rd line duties this season.

Lots can still happen during UFA, but so far, this club looks ready to try for
the shiney trinket again. We'll be back during pre season with full news on
how the team ended up after UFA and the clubs players all vying for a spot on
the Pro roster.

I'm Jerry Curl reporting, until next time, may your hairs stand on edge when
you face the Knucklers... It'll be one heck of a game.
